Weekly update 12/52 More Easter Bunnies

Week 12 and Easter is coming up soon and therefore I have been focusing on making more Bunny gift bags in different sizes. I have made bunnies in bottle sizes = longer so just the neck of the bottle sticks up and bunnies perfect for a book and smaller bunny bags. So with other words my collection right now consists of three different sizes  Bottle Bunny 8 €  Book Bunny 6€ Junior Bunny 4 €  This week I will add some in my webshop, for now I have been selling them as soon as they have been done. Fun that people like them and want them.  I am using cotton fabric and mostly upcycled fabrics which I have kept. Bottom part of some curtains and a duvet cover but also some new fabrics. When I am done making the bag I hand them over to my friend to get the faces cut out and ironed on but very soon I am will get my own Cricut machine and hopefully I can manage to also make bunny faces with some help.  I have also made some normal gift bags without bunny ears in spring colors

Weekly update 11/52 Taste of spring in Düsseldorf

Week 11 in Düsseldorf and we finally got some feelings that spring will actually happen this year.  A couple of very nice warm and sunny days got our mood up and I got inspired to go out and winter clean our backyard so it actually looks like a place where you want to go out to and not like a complete mess. I walked over to our local garden center here in Wittlaer and bought some daffodils narcissus, pansies and primrose. Mila told me "I love this time of the year when you buy flowers and plant them in the garden, then I know it is spring and nice weather"

Weekly update 10/52 Easter Rabbits in the making

It is already and finally time to make Easter bunny gift bags, hurray!! It was last year I was developing my Easter bunny bags inspired from some bunny bag I saw at the shop Tedi here in Germany.  It took some time to come up with how to make them and I was very happy when I finally got going. The eyes and whiskers I was drawing with a water-proof filler pen from Söstrene Grene. The nose and bump a small pompom I glued on.  This is what they looked like  This year I am doing a cooperation with a friend of mine who has a Cricut machine which can cut and print all sorts of stuff. I am making the bags and then handing over them to her and she is cutting out eyes and whiskers and iron them on to the bunnies  This is the first few bags we made  What do you think of my new updated Easter Bunny Bags?

Weekly update 9/52 Lots of new hairbands and beautiful winter in Düsseldorf for a day

Week 9 in Düsseldorf gave us spring weather and for a day winter with heavy snowfall. It was so beautiful with all the big snow flakes and covering the landscape with fluff. I had had to stop in Rhein park to get a picture of the blue ribbon of crocus covered in snow, beautiful and little sad at the same time. The snow was gone by the afternoon so Düsseldorf back to spring feelings. I have been working on making a lot of hairbands lately, ready for spring. I have a few cute fabrics which I bought at a small local flea-market which I have utilized but also polka dots fabrics which I have bought new for this season. I have also updated my web shop with my newly made hairbands - it is  a bit of work to get good pictures but I am working on it and I hoping the photos in the shop is representable and show the true colors.

Weekly update 8/52 Sunny walks to Kaiserwerth and coffee in the afternoon sun

Week 8 of 2023 was a sunny but pretty cold week here in Düsseldorf. Sunny is good. First coffee outside on the front waiting for Filip to get back from school. I did exercise at Jackies boot camp one day and for the rest I have been for long walks in the nice weather. I walked down to Kaiserswerth to get energy from people, the beautiful cobble-stones streets and Rhein promenad.  Apart from exercising and enjoying the sun I have mainly been working on some new illustrations. Illustrations needs a lot of time to sit and work with layers and layers and new ideas as I go along. My plan is to add characters to my summer landscape, but what or whom I haven't figured out yet. It is very easy to get distracted and come up with other things to do when I am working on illustrations because it is so time consuming but it will be no pictures made if I don't actually sit and draw and paint. Don't get me wrong it is what I love to do but sometimes it feels like I am not doing anything,
