22/52 Weekly update Foamy clay makes earring production

It started with a big pack of foamy clay in mnay bright colors that I had bought for the kids. One day Mila had made a big pink round thing with different colors and shapes on top of it and I thought it looked super cool. That night I was laying thinking that maybe I could copy Mila's idea just to make it a bit smaller and make earrings. I used to make earrings many years ago so I still have all the equipment and some earring hooks left so next morning I started working with kids foamy clay

These earrings below are the first earrings I made. The foam clay dries in the air and are super super light. Actually that light that when I used mine and it was windy outside they nearly flew out of my ears. So I figured out that it would be better to fasten these typ of material on a stud instead of hanging down. What I also come to think of was to add a layer of lack gloss to protect them from from melting in water ( I always shower with my earrings so they need to resist water)

I started creating shapes suitable for earring studs and ordered the studs and bought super glue

And it is so much fun I just can't stop creating and making different shapes, mixing colors and playing around.

I have put them on nice cards so I can display them nicely and put gloss on both sides and got friends and Milas friends to try them - so colotful and fun for the summer and also super light to wear. Next step in my mass production mood is how and where to sell them. I am thinking maybe to open my Etzy shop finally which I started 10 years ago.

What do you think ?

Weekly update 42/52 New fleece hats ready for the cooler weather

Weekly update 41/52 Time for warmer hats, nice books and last garden projects

October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro.  New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are.  Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations.   I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them. In our country-house in the forrest they tend to come and eat everything they like and they ...

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...
