New routines and projects

Nearly a week has gone on my maternity leave ( waiting and preparing for mini leave to be precise). New routines to get use to: wake up around 9, a hot bath,  a nice fresh breakfast and watching Swedish TV-show "After teen" and the day can start. I have been for yoga, a good way to move and relax my stiff and inflexible body. But mostly I have taken the opportunity to draw and illustrate. Life is good and so far not bored one little bit.. One of my projects are to make pictures that I can hang on the wall in my planed baby corner. This is my latest collection: a gang of pink elephants, blue and fat cats and a snail race. What about them, are they pretty baby friendly?

Daycare introduction no walk in the park

Kids started kindergarten 18 August.... My dad spend first THREE weeks being with them as an introduction. They refused to leave his side and if the teacher hadn't told us that we have to try to leave them there by themselves a little I think he would still spend his days at kids daycare with them ( very carrying granddad indeed)  First weeks (!) I had to pull myself free from screaming and crying kids to get to work. It broke my heart over and over. But worst to come... After this phase came the silent big crocodile tears. Horrible and even more heart breaking. These tears was accompanied with Mila begging me not to leave her and saying "but I love you and I want to be with you" " I miss you sooooo much" "Why do you have to leave me?" "Who will take care of me?" "I also want to be a grown-up so I can come with you to your job" These begging and her being very nervous for being left at kindergarten was more then heart breaking i

Garden dreams

The benefits of having a garden are many and have been proven within different study areas and disciplines. To grow and take active part in the process from seed to plant is well-known to be good for your soul and well-being. During garden work our bodies produce more happy hormones, such as dopamine and serotonin. It also reduces the stress level and makes you experience a great here and now feeling.. The physical work needed in order to control what is growing and where has a great effect on your body as well as your mind. After a long day running a round with a wheelbarrow, a rake, spade and other equipment’s a great satisfying feeling is spreading all around your body and you will fall asleep fast with a smile. Ok note that you might wake up sore here there and everywhere, but that’s the name of the garden game... Other benefits with a garden are of course all the fresh products you can harvest and enjoy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Organic home-grown fruits and vegetables, I
