Giraff from my sketchbook

I have been good continuing same speed drawing small illustrations in my sketchbook journal, but I am crap in taking photos of them and getting them here in the blog. Bad internet connection and life is just simply getting in my way which is totally ok.
Here is any way an illustration of a giraffe from Kålmården ( although according to my mother it looks like a moose..) Mila was asking to see the giraffes as soon as we entered the park and didn't stop asking every two minutes before we finally found them. At the same time my sister was telling us about twenty times that when she was younger and visited the park she pet the giraffes.

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves. I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...

Weekly update 38/52 Örebro Autumn market in summer sun

It was exciting to participate at my first market being back in Örebro, Sweden. It was an Autumn market in the beautiful setting of Karlslund Estate in Örebro. Most exhibitor were selling locally grown fruit, veggies and flowers. Also jams, marmelades, bakeries and cheeses. It was a sunny beautiful day and it attracted a lot of people. It was fun to finally again set up my display and show my products. The market stand/table I rented from the organizer and it was perfect size and cute. My best-sellers were my hats in smaller sizes. Amd to next market I need to make more fleece-lined hats since it gets cooler here in Swedem during the winter.
