October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro.  New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are.  Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations.   I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them. In our country-house in the forrest they tend to come and eat everything they like and they have no mercy.

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother

 Last week of September gave us nice sunny warmnweather. Thank you September for compensating for a rainy and cold summer. Weekend in Lundsätter and the forrest is mass-producing nice big chanterelles, I love it. The forrest is my element and it makes me happy and satisfied to walk up and enjoy the trees, the moss and the silence.  I was also doing some smaller projects in the garden. My honeysuckle that I planted last year has grown strong and it needed something to climb on so me and my dad built a small support. I love fixing in the garden, in my way with the philosophy it is better to do something the way I want it with trail and error rather then aiming for perfection because then the magic is lost and the nothing would grow in the garden at all.  After the autumn market I got a few orders of warm hats with fleece lining for smaller kids. So I focused on making quit a few cute hats with fleece linning for 1-2 year olds. I will add them to the web shop this week. 

  It was exciting to participate at my first market being back in Örebro, Sweden. It was an Autumn market in the beautiful setting of Karlslund Estate in Örebro. Most exhibitor were selling locally grown fruit, veggies and flowers. Also jams, marmelades, bakeries and cheeses. It was a sunny beautiful day and it attracted a lot of people. It was fun to finally again set up my display and show my products. The market stand/table I rented from the organizer and it was perfect size and cute. My best-sellers were my hats in smaller sizes. Amd to next market I need to make more fleece-lined hats since it gets cooler here in Swedem during the winter.   

I signed up to sell at a Autumn market here in Örebro. So I have spent a lot of time to go through my products and organize them after the move. I had an idea to display gift bags and hats slightly different so I have been playing around and testing different ways. Upstairs in the new house we have a big open space as work-shop and office and there I have built up my market displays. It feels nice in the house now when I have got it organized and set up as we want it after the move. This means that I have more time to work on my creative work and come up with new ideas.  Also mid September gave us nice warm weather so we could go to the lake and swim finally. 

We are starting to settle in in Örebro, our new hometown. Örebro for me is like a boomerang, a city that keeps coming back to me. I moved first time to Örebro in 2008 when I studied Economy at the University here. It is pretty close to where I grew up so it was convenient to be able to go back at weekends to hang out with friends and family. After finishing university I got a job here and stayed for a few years. After living in Prague and Moscow we came back and lived in Örebro for a year before Düsseldorf. So here we are again in our new/old city and still it takes time to feel home in a place even though it's been home before.  Fun with the new house and to make it home but also so unreal. Is this our house!?  Are we living here and a couple of weeks ago I felt ok this was fun but let's go home to Düsseldorf now.  What I find a luxury is that we can drive to Lundsätter our country-house at weekends. It is a place where we all feel nice and close to nature and we have family a

I am working on putting together my portfolio of illustrations. I do have a portfolio on my webpage  CCillustrator  but I also wanted to put together my illustrations on a more A4 type of format which is easier to send in an email. It is so much fun to go through them and live in these imaginary worlds again for a while. It also makes me realize that every picture has a story but also room to make your own story at the same time.    

 Week 35 is end of August and with that end of the summer which mainly rained this year. The benefit with a lot of rain is that the forrest are full of chanterelles now. I love being out in the forrest and find the gold of the forrest. Also end of August means eating crayfish and crayfish parties. Which is also something I love.  My uncle got some nice Swedish crayfish which we enjoyed at Lundsätter one weekend with all the traditional side-dishes to go with it.  Me and my sister went to concert here in Örebro - two of Swedens most popular pop singers Bryant/Maggio. It was rain and muddy but the show was magical and nothing but great.  Welcome September and autumn, I think you are my bestest season ! 

Summer is coming to an end. It was a very rainy summer and never before have I experienced so few sun hours and not being able or tempted to go to the lake to swim. My birthday is a sign that school start in close. I had a great birthday my dad, uncle and friends came over to celebrate with cake and bubbles in the new house. I got nice gifts and on the picture I am wearing my new Sauna hat since we now have a sauna in the house. We are now fully moved in to our new house although still a lot to organize and to find the right place for things. The house feels good, it is a comfortable town house in a neighborhood which is not more then 10-15 years old and still new apartment buildings are getting built. Kids have schools close by, only 5 minutes walk if that. Big difference for me and Filip who have had a long way to drive through Düsseldorf to get to his previous school.  17 aug school-start - nervous to meet their new classmates and teachers. Maybe I was the most nervous. We had done

 Great weekend with one of my best friends in Göteborg. We had booked a concert/hotel weekend last year when we both turned 40 and that we had been friends for 30 years but we couldn't make it. This year we made it and celebrated together. We bought lots of sea-food. Strolled around Göteborg, walk and talk to the ocean and magical concert Miss Li and Thomas Stenström.  One big benefit moving back to Sweden is that we can do this more often. 

What else happened during the summer was that my uncle was going to look at a puppy for him. My dad went with him. I thought that was pretty safe because the litter was not ready for delivery until a few weeks later. But of course the breeder had more litters of puppies which was ready to move to their new homes. My uncle and my dad came home with one dog each Seven and Smilla. Aussiedoodles ( mix of Australian Shepard and Puddle). Cute but lots of work with puppies.  Smilla 13 weeks All the family dogs Molly, Bozze, Astrid, Smilla & Seven  Loren finally done with all the extra work with moving/cleaning/ removing stuff/ handing over keys in Germany  

My granddad Sven-Hugo turned impressive 90 years old end of July and collected the family in Tällberg to celebrate. Nice get together and nice day. It doesn't happen very often that we meet all together like this, so it was nice to catch up with the family on my mothers side.  We also did a hike and first time testing rodel down the ski-slope in Rättvik.  And while we we here Loren was taking care of the moving chaos in Düsseldorf and coordinating cleaning and last fix with the house.  Professional movers came with mini trucks which of course couldn't fit all our furnitures... To add to the moving stress.. 

It always a good feeling to reach our country-house Lundsätter. It is our creative and relaxed base. Nothing special to anyone else but to us it is all we need to charge batteries and to feel free and in harmony in the middle of the forrest, our rotes.  We met up with our dear friends and have been hanging a lot with them during the summer. In the forrest blueberry picking, sleep-overs, drinking bubbles, adventure pool Lost City, showing the new house, having moving in dinner and pizza, Hemglass, riding lesson and bbq by the lake.  Högsjö beach - who would have know that this summer kids would only manage one swim here because of this summer extra ordinary rainy cool weather.
