Great great family summer trip to our beloved Prague. Prague a city close to our hearts. Mila birth place and our hometown for a few years. We have so many walks and memories from this city,  the most beautiful city in Europe.  We had four great warm summer days as tourists all together in the beginning of July. We stayed in a nice clean airbnb apartment in Vinohrady on Luxemburgska. Vinohrady is a very nice neighborhood in Prague 2 with lots of nice cafés, vinoteks, restarurants, brewery bars and other smaller cute places and outside seating. When we were there the weather was perfect sunny and warm with warm evenings to enjoy.  We took the kids to see all the touristic views like Old town square (  Staroměstské náměstí) Charles bridge, Prague Castle,  John Lennon wall, Waldstein Garden etc.  We also too them to some of our favorite places more hidden treasures not full of tourists like Lethna park and Stromovka. I started this post about one of our favorite spots in Prague, Lethna, I think roughly four years ago. I was putting together pictures from different seasons from Lethna and the best view of Prague. When we lived in Prague we spend a lot of time up here in the beergarten, in the playground, walking through the park, showing family and friends the view etc etc. Every season in Lethna is special. Here is some of the pictures I have taken from different seasons, although missing pictures from spring and summer when the beergarten are full of people and dogs which is the most common view of Lethna. Lethna Park / Letenské Sady is a large park on top of Lethna hill looking down on Pragues beautiful historic center and Vltava River and besides Prague Castle. The hill is in Holesovice and Bubenec quarters of Prague 7. On one side of the park you find a big and popular beergarten with  a great view and on the otherside of the park an open space where today you find a lot of people on skate...

While I was going throw my Moscow studio and arranging for moving everything end of the summer I found this map of Prague which I started but never finished when we moved from there. It was indeed a very emotional move leaving a place that we all loved and with great friends around us to the unknown life of Moscow. This map illustration I was planning to have on the wall as a memory of Prague and our cool group of friends. But because of all the emotions I think I never managed to get it done back then. It is on A3 so pretty big and I will try to get it finished and framed when it will get here in Sweden.

First evening a lot of laughter and great food  Here comes some more pictures from our trip to Prague together with our big Prague family. We felt so incredibly welcomed and good coming back. We are so so blessed having all these great friends. Like Loren wrote somewhere that "rich people are once who have friends" and yes we are very rich and fortunate to have such good funny people here and there. Just look at our big smiles and happy faces on the pictures. Lets use an old phrase "pictures says more then thousands words!" I have walked and jogged over this bridge so many times. And every time it doesn't matter in rain, foggy, on a cold day or like on Saturday beautifully sunny day it always hits me the beauty of Prague. I was cool and happy being back and not too nostalgic. But when I reached this view I couldn't stop a few tear drops from falling. How magical is this place!? To me it still feels like coming home.

We moved from Prague exactly one year ago. I was very sad to leave in fact I don't think I have ever cried so much over a place. It was a hard time for us as we felt very lost in all the new and the changes. A year has past and after a pretty though period it feels like we are out on the other side and we are little less lost and much more positive all of us. It was great to head back to Prague in this positive spirit. I will write more and show some pictures in my next post. Just wanted to show a family portrait I made of friends. Always nervous to give a family portrait away when its not been asked for. I hope they liked it and can find some similarities at least in the setting.

We watched a great movie last night " The Best Offer" Big parts of the move has been recorded in Prague and I can highly recommend this movie!

And so I finally found my camera in all moving mess and can do a short update what has happened lately. Lets move back a bit. End of October Team Nikolovski said bye bye to beautiful Prague. We have really enjoyed our time and made Prague our home so it was very emotional to pack and leave. I think it is the place that was the hardest for me to leave. The size of the city is perfect, the beauty and it is a very comfortable way of living. But hardest was to say bye to our friends that we have made and that Mila has grown side by side with since she is born and they have really become great friends. We have had such a great play dates and lunches and will miss it a lot. We knew that we most probably was not going to stay in Prague but even so hard to leave when you feel nice and comfortable somewhere. Prague will always have a special place in our hearts and will always follow Mila in her passport, you never know maybe we will be back one day, but for now Thank you very much Prague fo...

Reusing this autumn illustration of me  Team Nikolovski's adventures continuous and it has been a lot going on with moving from Prague to Moscow with a longer then planned stop in Vingåker, Sweden. Updates are coming very soon I promise!! While staying in Sweden a lot of creativity as a result of the limited access to internet but to show it I have to transfer creativity to computer ( not my favorite part of the process). Also I am drowning in boxes to unpack here in Moscow apartment. God damn it I am so super extra bored of unpacking boxes and trying to organize things as I want it. I know it is fun to make it nice and home but first Lundsätter and now here, is there an end to it? And I still can't find my stars and advent lights for this weekend. Moscow has treated us well so far, but we are just getting use to the neighborhood really and UNPACKING BOXES. I will be back soon with more moving details and moving thoughts. Not far before Team Nikolovski is moving from Prague. Me and Mila is squeezing the last out of these days with great friends. On our to do list before leaving Prague was of course to visit the zoo. Together with Miki and Lisa we had a great visit this morning. Autumn grey but not so cold day. We managed to time lunch during a shower of rain.  Mila was mostly impressed by a muddy water puddle she found next to the elephants but gorillas was pretty fun also. I was super impressed by pappa gorilla, such a big animal. Also I liked the polar bear who was having a great swimming show for us. Prague zoo is cute, tidy and well organized. I can highly recommend a visit here. 

Summer heat came to Prague last weekend and has stayed But I mean heat heat as in 35 - 40 degrees Celsius It is HOT outside and it is HOT inside I am dreaming about a cool pool And a big cool cocktail

When my mother was here we decided to explore Petrin Hill here in Prague. I have heard about the blossom cherry trees and also wanted to check out Prague´s "Eiffel tower" a bit closer. To reach Petrin Hill we took the cable car from Ujezd. On the way up we got a great view of the city and it was interesting to get to see the city from a different angle. As we got out of the cable car on the top we followed a small little park and while Mila explored her first puddle we send her grandmother to take pictures of Petřínská rozhledna ( Petrin lookout tour). The tower was built in 1891 for an exhibition and is 60m tall which doesn't sounds that tall but placed on Petrin hill which is 318m high. If you walk 299 steps you reach the top where the view of Prague is even more magnificent. The spring came early to Prague and up on Petrin Hill it is amazing to see all the green nuances.
