My Hazel proposal

Today has been a beautiful day here in Prague. Cold or actually freezing and clear sky and bright sun. Every time I walk over one of the bridges over-viewing the river and Prague's beautiful facades. The impressive castle in one direction and Vyserad church in the other. And I get overwhelmed of its beauty and for each time I fall a little bit more in love with this magical place. Sunny and clear days like today make it even more beautiful and magical. Pretty often I take pictures of this view and the photo never make the view justice I guess it has to be seen live.

Strange that I have picked this illustration with a girl inside on a rainy day you might think. This is an illustration I made before I went out today and is a proposal to a job for a children book about a little girl called Hazel. Many different illustrators can make a proposal and bid for the job. I thought the job sounded like a cool project, so fingers crossed.

Weekly update 42/52 New fleece hats ready for the cooler weather

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves. I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...

Weekly update 41/52 Time for warmer hats, nice books and last garden projects

October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro. New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are. Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations. I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them.
