Illustrated Journal: Unpredictable wonderful kids

Here is a wintery illustration from my illustrated journal. It was a sunny winter crisp day. New white fluffy snow on the ground and on the trees. Great weather to enjoy a walk and pulling the kids in the sledge. The mood was on top. I was holding my head up high in that silly way to really extra enjoy these most wanted sun rays. I walk to the mailbox and then continued and was thinking how wonderful that we can go for a nice fun walk and all in great mood. Kids were singing, smiling and enjoying. Lets walk little longer today as all is really enjoying. Bad decision... From one minute to the next the good mood changed for bad mood. BAD MOOD! Both throwing themselves out of the sledge screaming and complaining about something and nothing. Refusing to stand up. Refusing to go home. Refusing to cooperate. Being unreasonable. At the same time Bozze dog running to chase the neighbor and me screaming like a mad woman without any result what so ever. Feeling stupid negotiating with a without reason furious four year old and a cranky two year old, begging them to just hold together so we can get home. Kids are lovely and unpredictable big time!

Weekly update 42/52 New fleece hats ready for the cooler weather

Weekly update 41/52 Time for warmer hats, nice books and last garden projects

October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro.  New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are.  Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations.   I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them. In our country-house in the forrest they tend to come and eat everything they like and they ...

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...
