25/52 Summer weekly update Creativity

This summer I did have a lot of creative ideas but looking back I was mainly knitting and created hair-bands out of my knitted strips. Inspired by a friend of mine I bought recycled t-shirt yarn in Panduro as soon as I arrived to Sweden. They had a pack of 10 differenet colors in small rolls of yarn, barely enough for one hairband - but I managed to stretch the strips to make them fit to cover the whole hairband. During the summer late evenings I was up knitting to relax. T-shirt yarn was fun to knit with it goes fast because it's pretty thick. I keep it simple knitting garter stitch because thats I all I can at the moment.  At the end of the summer I attached the colors I liked the most with a hot glue gun onto the hard hairband I had brought with me from Düsseldorf bought on Amazon.

I asked my dad in the beginning of the summer if he could help me - to build a rustic cool stand for my hairbands. In the garage I found branch from a Juniper bush that my dad had collected and it was perfectly dried and from that he build the stand. He is very through and did an excellent job. Cool and fits a lot of hair-bands from future markets. We literally just finish the project before I headed back to German so maybe during autumn break I will paint the sides but not sure yet.

Weekly update 42/52 New fleece hats ready for the cooler weather

Weekly update 41/52 Time for warmer hats, nice books and last garden projects

October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro.  New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are.  Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations.   I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them. In our country-house in the forrest they tend to come and eat everything they like and they ...

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...
