26/52 Summer hand-crafted funky neon earrings

In this post I will present another one of my creative summer crafts. Before summer I started making earrings first from foamy clay and after that with a Fimo clay copy. I decided I wanted to try the original Fimo clay and my first impression was that is has a different texture and is a harder clay. I found it a bit harder to work with in the beginning but at the same time more possibilities to create more things. I might try to buy clay softener to make the clay easier do form. Fimo needs to be baked 30 min in the oven after done. I also bought long pins in different thicknesses from Fimo for creating your own beads. It was fun to try on these neon colored clays which I bought as a contrast to all the pastel colors I had made prior to these. Here is a few examples of what I made this summer och have bought more colors here in Düsseldorf so I will keep coming up with new designs and create more.

I will shortly show you more and I will bring my earrings to the markets I will do here in Düsseldorf this autumn but also looking into a way how to offer them online. Would you be interested in buying hand-crafted funky earrings ?

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...

Weekly update 38/52 Örebro Autumn market in summer sun

It was exciting to participate at my first market being back in Örebro, Sweden. It was an Autumn market in the beautiful setting of Karlslund Estate in Örebro. Most exhibitor were selling locally grown fruit, veggies and flowers. Also jams, marmelades, bakeries and cheeses. It was a sunny beautiful day and it attracted a lot of people. It was fun to finally again set up my display and show my products. The market stand/table I rented from the organizer and it was perfect size and cute. My best-sellers were my hats in smaller sizes. Amd to next market I need to make more fleece-lined hats since it gets cooler here in Swedem during the winter.
