Weekly Update 14/52 Grand Magnolia and family visit

We continue to have cold for the season here in Düsseldorf as in we are still wearing winter jackets. But it is getting greener and greener and trees are starting to blossoming. Magnolia trees are big and grand here in Düsseldorf and every year they impress me so much. Also the magnificent Camelia how they bloom and are so beautiful when it is still nearly winter outside.

My mother and Göran can to visit us in the beginning of the week on their drive down to Marbella. It was nice that they had a chance to stop by and we took them out to a real German restaurant, Jäger, in walking  distance from our house.

Bunt Ei - ready colored eggs in the stores is not only a Easter thing here in Germany.. They are sold all year around.

And Yes I keep making Easter Bunnies..
And since I got a wish for spring colored hairbands from a friend - I took the opportunity to buy some nice bright fabrics for hairband, bags and scrunchies

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...

Weekly update 38/52 Örebro Autumn market in summer sun

It was exciting to participate at my first market being back in Örebro, Sweden. It was an Autumn market in the beautiful setting of Karlslund Estate in Örebro. Most exhibitor were selling locally grown fruit, veggies and flowers. Also jams, marmelades, bakeries and cheeses. It was a sunny beautiful day and it attracted a lot of people. It was fun to finally again set up my display and show my products. The market stand/table I rented from the organizer and it was perfect size and cute. My best-sellers were my hats in smaller sizes. Amd to next market I need to make more fleece-lined hats since it gets cooler here in Swedem during the winter.
