Weekly update: 1/52 Morning Coffee Creative inspiration

Hi from Düsseldorf,
I got new inspiration and energy for my blog the other morning when I met with a little group of creative international women here in Düsseldorf. Because of Covid it's been over a year ago since we last met up and it was nice to finally catch up again. We are women from many different countries and who all are into different artistic creative genre living in Düsseldorf. It is great to have this forum to share, inspire and push each other. Last time we met I was more confused what I wanted to do with my illustrations and my hats that I am sewing. How to take it to next level and actually find channels to sell. Since then I have really pushed myself and managed to participate in 3 markets during 2021 which feels like a big step forward. To be brave enough to bring my handmade stuff out to the world to be exposed and sold.

With this this is a new start with my blog with the ambition to update weekly
About whatever comes on my mind or whatever creative projects that I am working on
I started this blog 2010  and I have been on and off active during the years and gone through so many difference phases

Inspired by

Weekly update 42/52 New fleece hats ready for the cooler weather

Weekly update 41/52 Time for warmer hats, nice books and last garden projects

October and week 41 and I have been making lots of new jersey hats with fleece lining. The weather is getting colder and colder and yes hat season is here. I will during the week add new fun warm hats in my web-shop. The hats will also be sold at Christmas markets here in Örebro.  New this year for me is that I am making baby hats since I got a lot of requests. I find it hard to make baby hats because they look so small, it is hard to remember how small babies are.  Also this week big happiness over at new book release from my favorite children book illustrator Sven Nordqvist. "Vägen Hem" a wonderful book with amazing illustrations.   I have also bought and planted some new plants inspired from some nice park arrangements here in Örebro. Now lets hope that all the deer in the forrest will not eat all of these, as I forgot to check wether or not these are tasty to them. In our country-house in the forrest they tend to come and eat everything they like and they ...

Weekly update 40/52 Autumn colors and cinnamon buns

Welcome October the most colorful month of the year. Yes we are going full steam towards the darker and colder part of the year, but I have to admit it is cosy and pretty with all the colorful leaves.  I don't know if it is a new thing to have theme days where a dish or something is being celebrated. I am guessing it is a capitalistic marketing great idea so companies can make more money like Valentine day. One of those days in Sweden is 4 of October when our national bakery Cinnamon bun is being honored. I got inspired! Some time ago I bought nice linnen tea-towels which I was planning to make some print/design on and when I got inspired by cinnamon bun I knew exactly what to make. I started scribbling and drawing buns on a big sheet. When I had one or two which I thought looked ok I transfered my bun drawing to my Cricut and had it cut out on iron-on vinyl. My mum is a master in baking buns and so I made a tea-towel/baking-towel in honor of not only cinnamon buns but of my mother...
